Things are lining up for our two weeks in the mountains - starting a new study that, at the moment, includes the physical history of the Rockies (including geology, geography, forests - problems and diseases, flora and fauna) and the social history of the Rockies (including mountain culture, exploration, national park management and tourism, and the history of women in the Rockies.)
We are confirming speakers and are lucky to have lined up natural-historian Ben Gadd of Jasper, Tara Moran from U of C on glaciers, and Dr. Jennifer Salahud of ACAD among others. Excitement is certainly building to get out there and immerse ourselves in mountain culture.
