Have just returned from another wonderful study session with the nine other fibre artists from across Canada who make up our group Articulation. We had a successful week studying the rain forest and trees native to Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The weather cooperated and we did lots of sketching and photography trying to capture the essence of green. We shall now all return to our studios and prepare work for a future exhibition in this theme.
Our 2006 session studying the architecture in Winnipeg, Manitoba has been booked in galleries in Edmonton, Alberta and Winnipeg in 2009.
And our 2005 session on northern lights and ice from Cold Lake, Alberta has seen its exhibition continue onto its third major venue, moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia in February 2008.
