Banff - Day 9

I have been querying others in the group about their general themes for their work in Women Rock and will report on them in the next couple of days.

First up is Gloria S. Daly. She focuses on hand stitching and brought to Banff one piece that she will work on for her entire time here. Her main themes are glaciers, ice and cold. This is what she has been working on for the past week (while the four others of us were playing in the dye studio, she has been hard at work in the Leighton Colony studio.) The background is a composite of her hand dyed Indigo pieces, and she is adding Indigo dyed silk ribbons, Swarovski crystals and french knots. The size is approximately 40" by 40".
