Return to French Polynesia 2016
When our trip in 2014 got interrupted with me breaking my neck, our comment even in the hospital was 'we have to come back and finish our trip'.
So we went back for the month of May 2016. And what's the most common thing there?
Sunrises and sunsets! In no particular order...

French Polynesia update 2
To go back in time... Bora Bora was amazing. So much beauty it hurt your eyes!
Some photos to share:
Ah, the islands from the air!
Flying away from Moorea with its two deep bays.
Over Huahine.
Onto Bora Bora.
Lei'ed on arrival.
And the boat to take you to your hotel as the airport is on the atoll.
Another InterContinental for us.
Our beach.
Still collecting sunsets. Looking west.
Looking east. Our hotel is on a skinny peninsula so it was easy to get both views by just walking across the street.

Moorea 2
First days just acclimatizing and learning the layout of the land.
The resort is on 27 acres of lush gardens with lots of trails to explore. Beach front with reefs for snorkelling.

Off on a trip of a lifetime...
Just flew off to the South Pacific... Calgary through Los Angeles onto Papeete, Tahiti. But continued our flight and ended up next door in Moorea. Dave has had Moorea on his radar for a long time and we finally decided to head out this year - for lots of reason. It is midway between my 55th birthday and his 60th; and our 31st anniversary this month while we are away.
We got lei'd at the airport on arrival (at 5am!) and a civilized check in at the hotel with fresh pineapple juice.
But our luggage never did show up. We were late getting out of Calgary because of a snow storm and the turnaround time in Los Angeles was tight so we spent the first 36 hours in the same clothes in this lovely warm weather.
